This is HUGE. Including accessibility as a scoring criterion sends a clear message: great data visualisation is also about being usable, inclusive, and understandable for everyone. The more we normalise accessibility in competitions like this, the more we raise awareness and embed it into everyday design practice.

Perceivable – Use readable font sizes, strong colour contrast, and clear labels
Operable – Set a logical tab order so reports can be navigated by keyboard
Understandable – Keep layouts consistent and visuals intuitive
Robust – Add alt text so screen readers can interpret your visuals correctly
